How can we accelerate HomeExchange's growth through PR? How to shape the global narrative of HomeExchange? What's the best way to gain consideration through earned media presence? We are looking for a Head of PR who will play a key role in increasing the visibility, consideration, and credibility of HomeExchange and home swapping worldwide. You will lead and inspire a global dedicated PR team, fostering meaningful relationships with journalists, and driving initiatives that amplify our brand presence in the media landscape. This is a strategic and management role where you'll inspire the team (5 persons), ensure consistency in brand messaging, and orchestrate PR strategies in +8 markets (France, Spain, USA, Canada, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, UK etc) that align with HomeExchange's ambitious growth goals. Your Responsibilities:and lead the International PR Strategy
- In collaboration with the team, lead the efforts to craft and implement the global PR strategy so HomeExchange emerges as a brand and as a concept.
- Define key brand messages to align with the company's objectives and adapt them for different markets.
- Identify and formalize the best practices for HomeExchange PR.
- Identify and explore new opportunities to promote HomeExchange across global and regional markets.
- Develop scalable tools and resources (e.g., brand positioning guidelines, compelling data insights, media trainings) to support PR efforts across teams and markets.
- Oversee the international PR budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.
- Participate in building the corporate communications strategy for HomeExchange, with the Public Affairs department, including crafting key messaging and identifying the right triggers.
- Identify new potential markets, assessing the potential impact of the launch and building the playbook for it to be successful (find the right partners, manage the relationships).
- Following and measuring impact by identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Communicate results to internal stakeholders.
- Identify and oversee opportunities for events, conferences, and international award submissions, ensuring seamless execution.
Team management and Coordination
- Align and ensure coherence across PR teams, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices.
- Empower teams to localize the global PR strategy effectively, and autonomously identify the learnings, opportunities, risks.
- Coordinate international PR efforts for key announcements, ensuring alignment across marketing, internal communications, and external outreach teams.
- Champion the value of the PR team's work by creating synergy with other departments to maximize understanding.
PR Activations and Brand Development
- Identify the speaking opportunities, the brand messages, the good reasons to talk to us.
- Lead opportunities to creatively amplify our brand: data-driven storytelling, expert partnerships, thought leadership, partnerships, newsjacking initiatives or brand activations.
- Coordinate with other teams, especially Brand Team to ensure consistency and impact of all initiatives.
- Manage PR activation strategy: analyzing successes/failures, identifying new opportunities.
- Background in team management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, with proven expertise in managing innovative projects.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and evaluate PR campaigns.
- Proven track record in international public relations, preferably in dynamic, BtoC brands.
- Deep understanding of the global media landscape and current trends in PR and communications.
- Native or fluent English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
- Previous experience working in or with the U.S. market.
- PR experience in the tourism, hospitality, or travel sectors.
