Are you a results-driven leader with a passion for sales and revenue growth? Our client is seeking an exceptional Head of Sales to drive our sales initiatives, foster relationships, and lead a high-performing team.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to exceed revenue targets
- Analyse sales data for growth opportunities and improvements
- Drive sales initiatives across all territories and channels with a hybrid sales approach
- Create long-term strategies for key accounts to boost profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a talented sales and key accounts team
- Evaluate team performance, provide coaching, and support professional development
- Ensure the sales team operates efficiently, meeting KPIs and exceeding expectations
Customer & Supplier Relationships:
- Build and nurture relationships with key customers, suppliers, and distributors
- Collaborate with key account buyers and the Commercial Manager on strategic plans
- Ensure alignment of sales strategies with brand initiatives
- Oversee relationships with strategic key accounts to maximize growth opportunities
Budget & Financial Management:
- Oversee budgetary planning, profit & loss (P&L) management, and expense control
- Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure expenses are within budget while achieving financial targets
Channel & Territory Management:
- Lead the transition to a hybrid sales model based on territory rather than modality
- Interface with key accounts, chain pharmacies, and healthcare professionals
- Conduct regular business reviews and develop productive, profitable account plans
- Align sales force resources optimally across channels and territories
Strategic Planning & Process Enhancement:
- Develop and implement annual business plans aligned with our client's strategic objectives
- Collaborate with marketing to align sales activities with brand initiatives
- Continuously improve commercial processes and ensure compliance with regulations
- Ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management

- Lead by example, resolve conflicts, empower the team, and foster a positive work environment
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring accountability and ownership across the team
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy, or related field preferred; advanced qualifications (MBA or similar) are a plus
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical, skincare, or FMCG industries
- Strong understanding of the UK healthcare landscape, including NHS structure and policies
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing sales teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of the OTC pharmaceutical, skincare, or FMCG industries
- Experience in managing key accounts and working with NHS stakeholders
