Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Head of SEND Improvement and Quality Assurance who will lead a local authority team in East Midlands to raise standards and enhance inclusion.

As Head of SEND Improvement and Quality Assurance you will work closely with the Head of Inclusion services to provide leadership whilst developing effective support in education settings for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Essential Requirements:

• Extensive experience working within SEND services.
• Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities, with a strong capacity to drive service improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Address children's needs earlier, ensuring that EHCPs are implemented to support complex needs.
• Review, assess and encourage education settings regarding the effectiveness of SEN support.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to those within the Inclusion, Learning and Skills department as well as across wider organisations.

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a positive climate.
• Lead in shaping and establishing a new culture towards SEND.
