The Role
As Head of Tax, you will step into a leadership role, taking responsibility for a team of tax professionals. This is a pivotal position offering the chance to lead and develop a highly capable team, manage an impressive client portfolio, and drive the strategic growth of the tax function.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Overseeing a team handling predominantly corporate tax with a mixed portfolio of foreign-owned companies (primarily from the US tech sector) and UK owner-managed businesses (OMBs).
• Leading compliance-focused services while identifying opportunities to expand advisory work across areas such as property, private clients, VAT, and transfer pricing.
• Collaborating with a strong and diverse leadership team, contributing to the firm's broader strategic goals.
• Mentoring and inspiring team members at all levels, from newly qualified professionals to senior managers.
• Leveraging international opportunities and collaborating across the firm's global network of offices.

The Person
To excel in this role, you will need:

• Proven technical expertise in tax, with a focus on corporate tax. Experience in VAT, R&D, or transfer pricing is advantageous.
• Strong leadership and people skills, with a genuine passion for nurturing and developing talent.
• The ability to inspire trust and confidence in clients, team members, and the broader leadership group.
• A CTA or ACA qualification (or equivalent).
• A track record of success in a mid-tier practice or similar environment.
