About the role
The Head of Technology Team Excellence is a new leadership position at the helm of a newly established leadership team and will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of the (internal) Technology organisation.
In the near-term, you will own and coordinate the implementation of a new target operating model implemented "through the line" across the internal technology organisation helping to successfully embed new ways of working, driving cross-functional management and operational efficiency of the internal Technology Team - ensuring clear communication and value delivery to the wider Softcat business.
Over the medium term, this role will evolve to become a critical driver of our digital talent bench and for digital business transformation and ongoing change and transformation of the internal technology team.
As Head of Technology Team Excellence, you'll be responsible for:
- Technology Team Excellence and Planning
- Performance Management and Reporting
We'd love you to have
- Strong strategic thinking and visionary skills with the ability to co-develop and drive Softcat's CIO vision, target operating model and implementation roadmap aligned with Softcat's technology strategy and translate into actionable plans.
- Credibility and gravitas to help drive the new technology target operating model including enhancing capabilities, embedding new ways of working, and driving change management.
- Proven track record of developing the digital talent bench in similar technology teams.
- Proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders across various business functions.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
