Head of Treasury needed in Haringey, £536.40 per day PAYE - Reference: RQ

• As part of the Finance Leadership Team, contribute to the overall leadership, direction and management of the finance service.
• Lead officer for the preparation, maintenance and delivery of the Treasury strategy and policy.
• Continually reassess the treasury position in light of current developments within the capital programme and financial markets to optimise long-term financing options.
• Manage cash flows, short-term investments, short-term borrowing, and long-term borrowing, ensuring compliance with the approved Treasury Management Strategy Statement.
• Assess financing opportunities and advise the Director of Finance on the most opportune duration and timing of long-term borrowing, e.g., from PWLB sources.
• Publish various treasury reports to inform members of treasury activity and lead the creation of the annual Treasury Management Strategy Statement.
• Oversee and provide leadership to the banking team and functions.
• Support the S151 Officer with their constitutional responsibilities in relation to treasury management and statutory financial reporting.
• Monitor, liaise, and review the performance of service suppliers (e.g., banker, treasury management advisor, and independent advisor) and re-let in a timely manner.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
