Our client is currently seeking a Highway Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting site visits to measure and survey highway conditions
• Identifying and diagnosing defects in carriageways and determining their causes
• Providing practical solutions for maintaining and repairing highway assets
• Collaborating with local authorities to prioritise maintenance activities
• Engaging in walk, talk, build tasks to facilitate effective communication and project planning
• Implementing surfacing solutions, serving as a foreman type individual to guide and direct work on-site
• Advising and guiding less experienced team members to ensure quality outcomes

Job Requirements:

• Experience in highway maintenance and surfacing
• Understanding of local authority processes and priorities
• Proficient in conducting surveys and site measurements
• Ability to diagnose and address carriageway defects
• Good communication skills for effective walk, talk, build work
• Proven track record in managing highway maintenance projects
• Ability to work efficiently on-site with minimal office-based tasks
