Senior Quantity Surveyor - Highways Experience Required
Location: Twyford, Buckinghamshire (Site-Based)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

My client is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join the HS2 North Calvert Civils Package in Twyford, Buckinghamshire, working with the Structures Team. The successful candidate must have experience in highways and be flexible with working hours and travel. A valid driving licence is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost control, maximising value, minimising liabilities, and ensuring the required quality and safety standards across multiple project packages.

Your key duties will include:

1. Managing commercial resources for Structures, Earthworks, and Drainage to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts.
2. Providing commercial expertise on contracts, including the preparation of valuations, contract notifications, change management, budget monitoring, and reporting.
3. Producing Subcontract Orders and overseeing contract administration through to Final Account settlement.
4. Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks while ensuring compliance with company policies.

What We're Looking For:

This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor who:

1. Holds a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying.
2. Has experience in the Construction/Highways industry.
3. Possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
