Housing Solicitor and Pro Bono Lead

Contract Fixed term contract, until 31 March 2026

We are looking for a passionate Housing Solicitor to lead an innovative housing casework project and pro bono programme. This role can be full-time or part-time, with flexible options, including job-sharing or supervising trainees.

About the Project

West Sussex is an advice desert, and we're determined to change that. We are funding a pilot project in Horsham to expand specialist housing advice and develop a pro bono legal programme.

We need a Housing Solicitor to provide expert technical supervision, ensure high-quality legal work, and lay the groundwork for long-term growth. With funding in place for a full-time solicitor, you will handle housing casework, participate in the court duty rota, and engage with pro bono leads. However, we value flexibility-for the right candidate, we're open to discussing hours and location, including the possibility of one day per week remotely supervising trainees.
