Job Description

As an HR Advisor (maternity cover), you will provide HR support to the Managing Director and the International team. Reporting to the Managing Director of the international business with a dotted line to the EVP of Human Resources based in the US. This role involves working closely with HR Director (US-based), managers and employees across the organisation to guide various HR queries and issues.

Responsibilities

Your role will involve handling a variety of HR-related tasks, including but not limited to:

  1. Main point of contact for any HR queries for UK employees.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR system (Hibob).
  3. Operate payroll, benefits and pension processes.
  4. Support the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, screening applications, and conducting initial screening calls.
  5. Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  6. Provide support on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within a fast-paced company.
  2. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. Ability to learn new systems quickly, if applicable.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  8. CIPD qualified preferred, but not required.

Duration: 3 months / 2 days per week
