Job Description

We have an opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join a busy People & Culture Team in Southampton.

You will be partnering with senior leadership teams of a division, providing proactive and professional HR advice and guidance on a range of complex people-management issues.

Key Duties
  • Strategic Partnering: Work closely with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Employee Relations: Provide expert advice on complex employee relations issues and work with an HR Advisor.
  • Talent Management: Develop and implement recruitment, retention, and development strategies.
  • Policy Development: Create and enforce HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Performance Management: Support managers in performance appraisals and employee development plans.
  • Change Management: Lead HR initiatives related to organisational change, ensuring smooth transitions.
Qualifications:
  • Education: CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a Senior HR advisory or HR Business Partner role within complex large-scale unionised environments.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
Offer

This role is offered on an initial 3 months + basis via Hays online time sheets. It will be an opportunity to shape the HRBP role and have longer-term possibilities. Working in Southampton but Hybrid, with 2-3 days on site.
