This is a 6-month contractual role where you will report to the lead HR business partner for UK and Europe. You will work with HR business partners and business leadership teams on an operational basis providing advice in all areas of HR with a focus on the operational delivery of the HR requirements, and delivering activity as detailed in the annual organisational and people plans within the engine. You will provide case management support and line manager coaching across a range of people policies and procedures across UK and Europe.
You'll be responsible for:
- Acting as an HR manager driving the completion of HR activity.
- Working closely with line managers to provide HR advice and expertise in the execution of HR policies and processes.
- Supporting line managers with effective resource management in the business unit, including mobilisation and demobilisation.
- Working collaboratively with the global mobility CoE on the effective deployment of resources across European locations.
- Providing sound expertise and executing HR activity on performance management, employee relations, engagement, and retention.
- Providing case management support across UK and Europe.
- Collaborating with business unit(s) to support career growth for employees through effective talent management and development, working closely with the talent, development & inclusion team.
- Supporting the business with effective engagement & retention plans, aligned to the company purpose, values, and behaviours.
- Partnering with the business unit to enable effective onboarding for all new joiners.
- Supporting with ad hoc projects that aid in the delivery of the organisation and people plan and business priorities.
You'll need to have:
- Proficient knowledge of HR policies and procedures, and experience in managing employee relations cases.
- Good stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience working as an HR manager in a generalist role or as an employee relations officer.
- Collaborative.
- Effective time management and communication skills.
- Data analysis to drive insights.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
- Chartered member of CIPD or working towards CIPD membership.
You'll also have:
- Project management skills/experience.
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices in European countries, ideally Germany, Switzerland, and Ireland.
- Change management & OD skills.
- Commercial awareness & business acumen.
- Use of human capital management system.
- Working towards CIPD membership.
- Commercial awareness.
