Job Description
Our client, an oil and gas operator, is hiring for a HR Generalist to join the team in Aberdeen on a contract basis.
Role Summary
To provide expert guidance and support on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and fostering a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities
- Provide specialist advice to management and employees on collective employee relations issues.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding policies and procedures.
- Review and update existing employee relations policies/procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practices.
- Develop new policies as needed, ensuring alignment with values.
- Collaborate with PO network locally and globally as needed to build awareness of policies and pending legislation, eg Harassment.
- Support in the co-ordination of the UK Works Council to drive employee engagement.
- Keep abreast of any changes or developments in UK employment law and update UK PO network.
- Other ad-hoc projects or tasks as needed.
Critical Skills and Behaviours
- Strong HR knowledge (CIPD qualification or equivalent)
- Strong competence in Employee Relations
- Experience in supporting offshore/operational teams in addition to onshore teams
- Negotiations and diplomacy skills
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to interact and connect in a global matrix organization.
- A proactive, self-motivated and delivery-oriented team player
- An effective communicator with strong oral and written skills
