Job Description

Job Title: HR Manager

Location: 4 days in London, 1 day in Telford

Reports To: HR Director/Senior Management

Job Summary:

Manage key HR functions, ensuring compliance with UK employment laws, promoting a positive workplace culture, and aligning HR strategies with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Employee Relations:

Act as the main contact for employee concerns, grievances, and disputes.

Advise managers on employee relations in line with UK employment law.

Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

2. Performance Management:

Oversee performance appraisal processes.

Guide managers on setting goals, providing feedback, and development planning.

3. Training and Development:

Identify training needs and implement development programs.

Lead leadership development and succession planning.

Evaluate and enhance training effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits:

Manage salary reviews and ensure competitive pay structures.

Oversee pensions, healthcare, and employee benefits programs.

Monitor market trends to improve benefits packages.

4. Policy Development and Compliance:

Develop and maintain HR policies aligned with UK laws.

Ensure compliance with GDPR, Equality Act 2010, and Health & Safety regulations.

Train staff on policies and legal updates.

5. HR Operations and Systems:

Maintain accurate HRIS records and reports.

Analyse HR metrics to support decision-making.

Manage absence tracking and return-to-work plans.

6. Engagement and Wellbeing:

Implement initiatives to enhance engagement and productivity.

Develop wellbeing programs for mental and physical health.

Conduct surveys and address employee concerns.

7. Change Management:

Support organizational changes, including restructures and cultural transformations.

Provide guidance on redundancy, TUPE, and other transitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in HR or related field (CIPD Level 5+ preferred).

Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and HR best practices.

Experience in HR operations, employee relations, and change management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office.
