We are seeking a HR Operations Manager to join a leading global financial services business based in London. This is a key role responsible for managing payroll, benefits, HR systems, and compliance processes, ensuring the efficient delivery of operational HR activities. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations, this position will also support strategic projects and oversee a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Benefits Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processes for UK, international offices, and directors, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage monthly payroll reconciliations and liaise with finance teams on reporting.
- Ensure all employee benefits, including pensions and medical schemes, are effectively administered and renewed.
- Act as the primary contact for employee payroll queries, supporting and mentoring junior HR team members.
HR Systems & Data Management
- Serve as the subject matter expert for HR systems (Oracle, Workday, ADP), ensuring accurate data management, system updates and data adjustments
- Work closely with finance to manage the HR budget effectively.
- Support ongoing HR system enhancements and process automation initiatives.
Compliance, Audit & Process Improvement
- Own and manage the Joiner, Mover, and Leaver process, driving efficiency improvements.
- Lead annual audits related to payroll and financial compliance.
- Assist in continuous process improvement, updating policies and workflows as needed.
- Ensure all HR processes align with GDPR and data protection requirements.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in HR operations, payroll, and reward, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR system management.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and HRIS platforms.
- Experience managing audits and compliance within a corporate HR function.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
