Job Description

We are seeking a talented HR Systems Implementation Senior Consultant to join our Digital Solutions team at Mercer. This role will be based in Romania. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Your mission will be to assist clients in the implementation and support of the Workday solution. You will participate in transformation projects towards the Workday management solution and provide support and maintenance services for this platform for our clients.

Following an initial period of acclimatization to our tools and methodologies, you will assume responsibility for a specific technical or functional domain. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a Project Manager or Service Manager to deliver high-value services that meet our clients' needs and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Within the Digital Transformation department, the mission is to accompany transformation and innovation to enable clients to mobilize their talents, achieve rapid results, and build agile organizations supported by modern technologies.

Specialized in consulting, integration, and maintenance of Workday Cloud solutions in the HR, Payroll, and Finance domains, Marsh McLennan is the 1st partner of Workday worldwide.

We will count on you to:

  • Take responsibility for functional or technical streams within Workday HCM or Workday Finance deployment projects.
  • Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommending best practices to meet client requirements.
  • Conduct workshops to analyze functional or technical needs and design target processes to be implemented in the Workday solution.
  • Build and oversee the construction of different prototypes.
  • Describe processes and touch points.
  • Assist clients in data migration activities to Workday.
  • Define their test strategy and test plans.
  • Define their Production cutover Plan and related activities.
  • Understand and apply Workday methodologies.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed of updates on the overall project status.
  • Manage teams on and offshore: supervise, advise, and optimize their performance.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical industry (engineering, IT, etc.) or business management.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar implementation role.
  • Strong functional knowledge in HR and/or Finance in one or more sub-domains.
  • Ability to understand client needs and processes and translate them operationally through the Workday solution.
  • Strong customer orientation, quick learning ability, excellent communication, synthesis skills, rigor, creativity, and ability to work in a team and remotely.
  • Fluency in English and French OR German.
  • Excellent communication skills in Romanian are required.

Workday Certification Process During Probation:

We are dedicated to supporting your professional growth and ensuring that you have the skills needed to thrive in your role. If you're not already Workday certified, we'll guide you through the Workday Certification process during your probation period. This process is a critical part of your onboarding and will help you meet key objectives for your role.

The Workday Certification Process spans six weeks and includes:

  • A three-week internal preparation training.
  • A three-week virtual official training conducted by Workday.

Before you begin the training, you'll need to sign an addendum to your employment contract that includes a training repayment clause. This clause is designed to support both you and the company.
