We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Director working within a small to medium size group company, where we believe in empowering our employees and fostering a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and growth.

Role Purpose:

The HR Director plays a critical role in partnering with senior leadership to implement HR strategies that align with overall business goals and priorities.

Leading the development of a high-performing, engaged workforce and ensuring that local HR practices are compliant, and contributing to the long-term success of the business.

About The Role:

The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner, employee champion, and change leader, with up-to-date HR expertise to deliver customer and business outcomes through talent and organisational development, leadership, and HR processes.

Strategic Partner
  • Collaborates with business and HR leadership towards the implementation of people strategies which support business objectives and drive high performance.
  • Provides insights on local workforce trends, talent needs, and external market factors to inform strategic decision making.
  • Aligns local HR practices with business goals, ensuring initiatives are impactful and measurable.
  • Leads efforts to ensure the local businesses within scope have the right talent in place to meet both short and long term objectives.
  • Serves as a key advisor on leadership development, organizational design, and succession planning to ensure business continuity and future growth.
Employee Champion
  • Promotes a culture that values unity, employee engagement, well-being, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, ensuring fair treatment and conflict resolution, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversees employee experience initiatives, ensuring both talent attraction and the retention of valuable employees.
  • Supports employee development, actively encouraging continuous learning and growth across all levels of the business.
  • Advocate for workplace policies that promote fairness and inclusivity, responding to evolving needs.
HR Expert
  • Ensures the efficiency, quality, and compliance of local HR functions in scope (e.g. recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, HRIS etc.)
  • Uses and develops relevant metrics and analytics to inform decisions and assess the impact of HR initiatives towards key HR and business goals.
  • Manage the HR budget and resources, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Oversee HR compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Leads and supports business change efforts, including structural optimisation, cultural transformation, continuous process improvement, M&A.
  • Promotes an agile and innovative workforce committed to continuous improvement, ensuring HR policies and practices support the company's dynamic and evolving needs.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders and managers, supporting them in effectively managing change within their teams.
