JOB PURPOSE:
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a seasoned SAP S4/HANA Data Migration Lead, to spearhead end-to-end data migration within our global ERP transformation program. In this critical role, you will design and execute the data migration strategy, ensuring high-quality data, supporting business continuity and operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and implement a comprehensive data migration strategy, methodology, and roadmap for SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Ensure alignment of migration plans with overall ERP transformation goals and business requirements.
- Design and execute data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Define scope, approach, and governance for data migration, including data retirement and archiving strategies.
- Own data migration artefacts like Data Object Scope (DOS), Key Data Elements (KDE), Conversion Definition Documents (CDD), etc.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all data migration-related activities, engaging with business, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions on migration requirements, validation processes, and lessons learned.
- Address deviations from the global data model and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Lead multiple data migration test cycles (mock loads, validations, cutover rehearsals) to ensure system readiness before go-live.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure data migration landscapes, tools, and infrastructure are prepared.
- Design and implement data migration test scripts and validation frameworks.
- Oversee incident and defect management throughout test cycles and hypercare.
- Manage and mentor a team of internal and external data migration specialists.
- Develop and track KPIs for data migration, reporting status updates, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Proactively address risks related to data cleansing, transformation, and migration execution.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of migration plans, risks, mitigations, and lessons learned.
- Provide regular reporting and status updates to stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, milestones, and any potential issues or challenges.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- 5+ years of extensive experience leading SAP Data Migration projects or ERP transformations, including SAP S/4HANA migrations.
- Strong expertise in SAP data structures, migration objects, and tools such as S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, Data Hierarchies, ETL processes, and Data Quality frameworks.
- Full lifecycle ERP transformation experience within a manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or commercial environment.
- Familiarity with data migration toolsets, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional, global teams in a matrix organization.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Track record of driving change, fostering innovation, and embracing an agile, growth-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to proactively manage risks and dependencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
- Result-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
