Who Should Apply?Applicants must have full GMC registration. This fellowship suits candidates in their final year of training or post-CCT, with a strong foundation in critical care medicine, including FFICM or equivalent, and an interest in neurological patient care.

- High-Volume Centre: Work in one of the UK's busiest units, renowned for neurocritical care, neurology, neurosurgery, neurotrauma, and interventional neuroradiology. Southmead Hospital operates a 24/7 acute stroke thrombectomy service and has high neurotrauma survival rates.
- Unique Rotations: Includes immersive rotations in Interventional Neuroradiology and Neurosurgery to understand interdisciplinary neurocritical care.
- Expert Mentorship: Train under experienced consultants committed to your clinical and academic growth.
- Research Opportunities: Participate in innovative research and quality improvement projects, with chances to present at national and international conferences, including recent NIHR-supported work on beta-blockade in traumatic brain injury.
- Educational Budget: Up to £5000 annually for activities like PG Cert.
- Simulation Training: Engage in regular simulation sessions to improve decision-making, procedural skills, and team communication.

Person specification Education/Training/Qualifications- MB BS or equivalent
- Full GMC registration
- FFICM, FRCA, or equivalent diploma
- Intensive Care accreditation
- ALS/ATLS provider status or equivalent
- Experience in Critical Care relevant to NBT
- Familiarity with UK hospital systems
- At least 4 years' experience in an acute specialty with postgraduate training or responsibility
- Extensive experience in sub-specialties as per the job description
- Intermediate or Advanced training in ICM
- Competent in Intensive Care at Senior Fellow level
- Leadership capabilities
- Research interest and experience
- Recent CPD and progression
- Peer-reviewed publications
- Good Clinical Practice certification within 3 years
- Research presentation experience
- Experience applying for study grants
- Contribution to guidelines
- Ability to fulfill all duties including on-call, evenings, weekends
- Fluent in English (IELTS Level 7+)
- Mobility and dexterity suitable for clinical duties
