Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Hybrid - London (50/50)

Salary: £74,000 + Benefits

About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to become a key member of our client's Cyber Security team. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a crucial role in strengthening security measures, managing risk assessments, and leading incident response efforts. This position also offers the opportunity to manage a direct report and contribute significantly to the organization's cyber security strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship and leadership to ensure effective cyber security risk management.

  • Oversee quarterly Cyber Security control assessments and approvals.

  • Deliver in-depth reporting and provide administrative support for cyber security forums.

  • Manage and refine the Pen Testing strategy, aligning it with industry standards.

  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to respond to and resolve security incidents.

  • Monitor and manage the organization's vulnerability profile.

  • Ensure compliance with annual cyber security certifications and accreditations.

  • Update and manage internal security training programs to enhance cyber awareness.

  • Conduct assessments for third-party vendors and internal applications.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for website security and domain takedowns.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Cyber Security or Information Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM).

  • Proven experience in a hands-on cyber security engineering role.

  • Experience within a regulated financial environment is advantageous.

  • Strong leadership and influencing abilities.

  • Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Purview and Qualys is desirable.

  • Demonstrated passion for staying current with evolving cyber threats.
