Inside Sales Specialist
Location: Office based in Belgium
As an Inside Sales for the Industry business, the purpose of your position is to sell our client's products and/or services and work in close collaboration with field-based Account Managers to achieve commercial targets. The Inside Sales Specialist will reach business targets through excellent sales support and communication skills and may be required to perform customer site visits rarely. This individual will also develop his or her phone-based revenue generation through the creation and management of customer leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of rapport with existing and potential customers to act as a key contributor to meet revenue goals.
Main Accountabilities include:
- Work in close collaboration with Business and Account Managers to exceed territory growth, revenue targets, and commercial departmental priorities.
- Management and tracking of all leads (Cold/Warm/Hot) from various external lead sources in collaboration with the Digital and Communication department.
- Manage ad-hoc and annual consumable quotation generation and renewals for CVM D customers.
- Assist Field-Based Account Managers with preparation and processing of internal documentation requirements e.g. IOF, New Account Set-Up, potentially including basic proposals, different types of agreements (quality agreements, surveys from customers).
- Assist Field-Based Account Managers with internal processes and act as a cross-department liaison for query handling and activities as required (onboarding, customer calls for internal event invitations).
- Make cold calls to food and pharma customers based on market research investigation and liaising with Field-Based Account Managers where follow-up is required (calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc. using the CRM - logged calls, contact details, update follow-up).
- Identify decision-makers within targeted leads to begin the sales process. Ability to ask questions to determine customer needs and match associated product features and benefits to the customer's requirements.
- Maximize CRM use: Quality monitoring and facilitating updates/cleansing, mailing list cleansing, report generation for S&M, monitoring competitor asset drive, etc.
- Perform other job duties as required (e.g.: Sales internal event coordination).
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have a sales experience of 3-5 years, ideally with experience in Sales in IVD. You will have a hunger and drive to develop new skills with a strong ability to network and maintain and value long-term relationships.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Studies-Experience:
- B.S. in Marketing, Microbiology, or another related science or equivalent education and experience.
- Maintains current features and benefits knowledge of the client's product lines (ID/AST, Blood culture, Immunology/Molecular) and professional services.
- 1-3 years of coordinating and managing projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
- Solid experience in call control, account development, and time management.
- Problem identification and objection handling skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Good verbal communication, presentation skills, and written communication skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.

- Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits.
