Job Description
Creating original and innovative luxury soft toys, Jellycat combines luxurious fabrics with quirky and cute designs and sells its products online and via stockists throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
This new exciting role will be overseeing the Jellycat products, supplies and materials. You will get a great overview of the business, whilst working with a range of different departments and warehouse staff within Jellycat.
You'll be;- Ensuring stock accuracy between warehouse and Jellycat systems.
- Developing and overseeing inventory management procedures to ensure stock accuracy.
- Conducting regular cycle counts and full inventory audits across UK warehouse locations.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies through root cause analysis and processing improvements.
- Collaborating with warehouse staff to streamline inventory workflows and improve accuracy.
- Analysing inventory data and generating reports on key metrics (e.g. turnover, aging stock etc).
- Overseeing the implementation of inventory management software, ensuring accurate data input and reporting.
- Training and mentoring warehouse staff on inventory management practices.
- Ensuring all inventory processes adhere to company policies and relevant regulatory standards.
- Analysing and reporting on inventory management within the business and its sales channels.
- Building close working relationships with Production, Sales, Logistics and Merchandising to provide timely and reliable inventory reports.
- Leading internal projects to implement robust procedures and internal controls over inventory management.
- Working with warehouses to ensure stock take processes are established and well controlled.
- Managing all intercompany stock transfers.
- Supporting the development of procedures and controls around inventory movement.
- Investigating adhoc inventory movements.
- Relevant experience with inventory management.
- Experience with inventory processes.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Previous experience managing a large volume of SKUs.
- An understanding of the fundamentals around inventory stock reconciliations.
- The ability to critically evaluate existing processes, identify areas for improvement and recommend positive changes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with operational teams, identify and support their needs, and obtain the information necessary to deliver a robust view of stock holdings and value.
- Knowledge in Excel and PowerBI.
- A contribution-focused mindset with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a range of business stakeholders.
- A wholesale/retail background.
