Job Description

IT Change, Release & Service Transition Manager (Contract - 6 Months, Hybrid)

Rate: £500-550 Inside IR35

Duration: 6 months (possible extension or perm)

Location: Euston (2 days/week in-office)

We are looking for an experienced IT Change, Release & Service Transition Manager to play a key role in a major industry program, ensuring smooth transitions and service readiness.

Role Overview

In this role, you will manage and coordinate IT Change, Release, and Service Transition across multiple suppliers, ensuring the seamless delivery of new and updated services. You will oversee change approvals, release scheduling, and operational readiness to minimize risks and optimize service performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Change Management - Develop and oversee the Change Management process, chair CAB meetings, and manage change logs.
  • Release Management - Maintain a release calendar, coordinate release schedules, and improve release efficiency.
  • Service Transition - Ensure new services meet operational and business readiness criteria before production deployment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Liaise with IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to align on changes, releases, and transitions.
  • Compliance & Governance - Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and IT governance policies.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement - Track and analyze change, release, and transition performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Leadership - Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous development.

Key Experience

  • Proven experience in IT Change, Release & Service Transition Management within an ITIL framework.
  • Strong understanding of CAB processes, release coordination, and service readiness criteria.
  • Experience managing IT services in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Excellent risk management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
