IT Finance Analyst

Join our Finance team at our Watford Support Centre! We're looking for an IT Finance Analyst to monitor, control, and challenge IT spending, and partner with the IT team on financial matters, including supporting IT investment business cases. This is a great opportunity for recent finance graduates or those with up to 12 months of finance experience looking for their next career step.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Complete the month end process including posting journals, investigating issues, reconciling the P&L, capitalising completed projects and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
2. Prepare insightful summary of period and YTD performance for 1) inclusion in the management accounts 2) monthly updates to project managers.
3. Supporting and following processes and controls in place to support the timely approval and classification of invoices by the IT leadership team.
4. Ad Hoc analysis on IT BAU and Project expenditure allowing Finance to challenge the business accordingly.
5. Support Finance Manager with budgeting & forecasting process for IT spend, liaising with the IT team to ensure all relevant opex and capex costs are covered.
6. Understanding the IT investment business cases to ensure correct treatment of costs.
7. Build strong relationships with Finance and Non-Finance Stakeholders to drive wider understanding of business and how IT integrates.
8. Supporting Head of FP&A with reporting and analysis, as required.

What are we looking for:

1. Essential: Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
2. A-Level science or mathematics based subject.
3. 1-2 years Finance Analyst experience.
4. Hard working.

8. Inquisitive.
9. Proactive.
10. Strong communication skills.
11. Strong data analysis and Excel/Google skills.
