Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with a Surgical Certificate (or currently pursuing one), who excels in communication and teamwork to work alongside a team of 13 Vets. The Role:

  • This exciting role is primarily based at the main hospital but also includes rotations through their consulting-only branches.
  • Beyond your clinical responsibilities, you will find numerous opportunities to explore your passions-whether by participating in the Green Team, mentoring recent graduates, or helping to organise their vibrant social events.

The Candidate: They are looking for a candidate that has a Veterinary Degree Registrable in the UK, enabling full MRCVS status. You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A can-do attitude, determination, and positivity
  • Strong team ethos
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Hours:

  • 40 hours a week, 4-day week
  • 1 in 8 weekends (with 2 days in lieu the following week)
  • Minimal on-call as ECC team on site.

The Practice:

  • Their well-equipped practice, dedicated to a fantastic primary care team, is set within a large hospital that also houses a multi-disciplinary referral team.
  • They provide 24-hour emergency services and routine primary care for small animals, working separately - albeit closely - with the referral and ECC department.
  • They are committed to supporting the physical and mental health of all their Associates.
  • They have an amazing team of Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) across their practices and a central support office in addition to a confidential Employee Assistance Program which is available for everyone.

Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of up to £65,000 p/a - reflective of skills and experience.
