Job Description

We're on the lookout for ambitious finance grads or junior accountants eager to grow, driven to make an impact, and passionate about the arts and creative industries. The role will be a 12-month maternity cover contract, starting in May.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately record financial transactions including invoices, income, and expenses
  2. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements, and card transactions
  3. Monitor and track card expenses, identifying and correcting discrepancies
  4. Verify invoice accuracy and resolve payment issues
  5. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
  6. Ensure correct coding and allocation of all transactions
  7. Post weekly, monthly, and year-end transactions
  8. Assist with internal financial reporting
  9. Help prepare financial reports for grants and other funding sources
  10. Assist with VAT transactions and financial compliance requirements
  11. Support audit processes by gathering and organising documents
  12. Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, and correspondence
  13. Support overall finance and operations across departments
  14. Assist the Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in Excel
  2. Strong interest in the creative industries / arts
  3. Studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA/AAT
  4. Internship or 6 months-2 years of experience in a similar setting
