Job Title: Key Account Field Business Development Manager - Eyewear, Lenses & Instruments

Location: Midlands

Contract: Permanent/Full Time

Your role

Reporting directly to a Key Account Director / Manager, the KA Field Business Development Manager will manage the day-to-day running of a number of Key Account stores to develop, build, and maintain relationships that will ensure that EssilorLuxottica becomes or remains the customers' preferred supplier across every category. This includes increasing the use of EssilorLuxottica lenses, frames, and instruments within existing Key Account Stores, increasing profitable sales through the Key Account channel, and seeking opportunities to grow EssilorLuxottica's business in line with the Company sales and marketing strategy.

Main responsibilities:

  • Increase overall business within the Key Accounts channel in accordance with targets by developing and building relationships with all customers.
  • Generate and manage solid sell-out strategies to maximize product penetration on lenses and eyewear.
  • Work closely with EssilorLuxottica Key Account Director / Managers and other teams to ensure profitability of accounts is managed correctly.
  • Liaise with different interested parties across EssilorLuxottica to provide 'best fit' product and solutions to customers.
  • Control marketing expenditure working closely with marketing and external agencies where necessary.
  • Provide information to enable accurate forecasts of lens and frame volumes for production and logistics.
  • Provide weekly updates on account activity, meetings held, future actions, and sales figures.
  • Maintain an effective and consistent call programme in the field for Key Accounts Stores.
  • Push the full range of EssilorLuxottica products across your geographical area to increase sales.
  • Present relevant marketing/commercial activity to key personnel and agree on actions and processes required for success.
  • Regularly review with all customers their business, product mix, and supplier preferences.
  • Agree and implement customer training on all new and existing products.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and reports for relevant accounts.
  • Ensure market and competitor product knowledge is continually maintained.
  • Continually assess the market to identify opportunities and provide necessary reports.

Main requirements:

  • Significant proven track record of delivering sustained growth through strong customer engagement.
  • A high level of commercial understanding together with strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of selling optical/eyewear brands B2B.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the UK.
  • A high level of computer literacy.
  • Experience of successful sales account management in a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Company products and market.
  • Knowledge and experience of pricing systems and marketing theory.
  • Proven track record of delivering effective training and coaching.
  • Optical experience and/or D/O qualifications.
