Job Description
Lead Engineering Advisor, Energy Delivery Closing Date: 04/05/2025 Location: Flexible in North Wales Starting salary: £45,367 Contract type: Permanent Work pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week Interview date: To be confirmed Post number: 203735 The role You will work within the Energy Delivery Team to assist colleagues in achieving Natural Resources Wales (NRW)'s remit for renewable energy targets in Wales, applying the principles of Sustainable Management of Natural Resources (SMNR) to your work. You will act as a senior supplier for civil engineering. You may also be required to act as an executive for projects including board reporting and risk management, within strict governance procedures. You will work with the wider business to translate regulations, standards and approved codes of practice into operational guidance. This role provides civil engineering expertise, ensuring engineering solutions are compliant with NRW design standards, in-turn influencing renewable energy developer designs and construction phase plans. You will be responsible for asset management during the operational phase of development and for advising liaison officers on compliance with operating procedures and NRW lease obilgations. This role involves desk and site-based work on the WGWE in North & Mid Wales. You will direct other technical / engineering staff within the team, and may lead them through complex or highly technical specialist programmes of work. You will be required to work on a number of projects simultaneously and are expected to provide leadership across our project portfolio. You will report to the Energy Delivery Team Leader, in the Northeast Operations structure. This exciting and challenging role will part-resource an additional new Welsh Government service level agreement. You will be externally facing and have considerable responsibility for managing relationships with third party organisations and contractors. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base / location above and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment.
