We are currently recruiting for two Lead Product Development Scientist positions based from our site in Larne. One of these roles is a permanent position, with the other being a 12 month fixed term contract.

We are searching for a PhD Graduate who wishes to develop their experience and career in a global pharmaceutical company. You will be planning and executing studies to develop Teva drug products within a highly skilled team of Scientists, all working towards our goal of improving patients' lives. A Day in the Life of our Lead Product Development Scientist
  • Plan and participate in all aspects of research and development (including quality, safety and financial aspects) from feasibility to commercial manufacture.
  • Oversee and develop novel initiatives to produce successful formulations for various drug product dosage forms and for drug/device combination products, including interpretation of experimental data.
  • Execution of formulation activities associated with assigned projects in line with corporate goals and local KPIs.
  • Develop plans and reports which manage and describe the product formulation and process development process in line with local procedures and ICH guidance.
  • Participate in risk assessments during the planning phase of projects in order to maximize prior knowledge utilization.
  • Work with relevant groups to understand the important characteristics associated with drug substances, drug products, devices and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide support to the department to ensure efficient systems and procedures.
  • Participate in laboratory, process development, process scale-up and validation (both equipment and process validation) studies.
  • Coordinate physical testing to evaluate product characteristics.
  • Travel as required to meet the needs of the role.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Educated to PhD Level in Pharmacy, Chemistry or closely related subject.

Do you have?

  • Experience in statistical experimental design and statistical interpretation of data.
  • Sound knowledge of chemistry.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High levels of motivation with the ability to work largely unsupervised.
  • Proven ability to maintain high standards of work, attention to detail, and a right first-time approach.
  • Demonstrable teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a flexible approach to changing priorities and be able to adjust working hours as necessary.
