The School of Health and Care Management provides our students with a dynamic, forward-thinking education focused on effectively managing health and care services and teams. Our courses, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), ensure that our students will not only gain current, relevant knowledge but also build essential management and leadership skills that are highly valued in today's healthcare landscape.

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for two Lecturers to join our Postgraduate Apprenticeship Team, to teach on our Senior Leader and Executive MBA programme which is contextualised for senior health and care professionals. You will report to one of our Senior Lecturers, and will:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic lectures online for our distance learning students.
  • Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
  • Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
  • Lead or support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
  • Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment.

About You:

To be successful as a Lecturer in Health and Care Management to teach on our Senior Leader and Executive MBA Programme, you must have:

  • MSc or equivalent qualification in a Health or Care related field.
  • Experience in Healthcare/Public Health/Health leadership and/or similar areas.
  • Teaching experience at Postgraduate level.
  • Research supervision experience at Postgraduate level.
  • Experience of MBA teaching and apprenticeships.
  • AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or willing to achieve within 12-18 months.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of health and/or care leadership in a large organisation.
  • Experience of managing healthcare teams, budgets, projects and delivery.

We are looking for Lecturers with experience in current and effective teaching, learning and assessment practices in Higher Education, who are able to bring their knowledge and understanding to Arden to grow our programmes and provide excellent student outcomes.
