Job Description

If you are a solicitor who has focused on commercial property and/or construction and development projects and seeking a broad in-house commercially focused legal role where your expertise in commercial property & projects will add value to a global business, this role is for you!

Join one of the world's largest and leading commercial real estate services firms as an in-house counsel on an initial 12-month FTC.

About the client:

Leading real estate, development services business with a global presence and an excellent reputation as market leaders in this space. This business has a well-established legal team who thrive off collaboration, knowledge sharing, and providing opportunities to get involved in a broad remit of work.

About the role:

As in-house Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice, guidance, direction, and strategic partnership across a wide variety of legal and compliance matters across the EMEA business. Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing commercial legal advice across a range of internal service lines including Asset Services, Occupier Services, Integrated Facilities Management, and Project & Development Services.
  2. Negotiating and drafting commercial supply contracts, including licensing, consulting, and service agreements.
  3. Advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters, as well as supporting M&A and other corporate transactional work when appropriate.
About you:
  • The successful candidate will ideally have between 2 - 6 years PQE, having trained either in a reputable law firm or in-house.
  • Experience of working in a commercial in-house environment is preferred, but relevant experience in private practice will also be highly valued.
  • Previous experience gained in the Construction and/or Real Estate sector is highly desirable.
  • Experience of working on multi-jurisdictional matters with geographically dispersed teams would be positive. This role would suit someone who is commercially astute and thrives in a fast-paced, complex, and high-performing environment.

Duration: 12-month FTC

Start date: From 1st April 2025

Working Arrangements: Hybrid - 2-3 days in London office ideal (not open to fully remote workers)

Salary range: Highly dependent on PQE level and experience. The company has clear salary bandings for the role and experience within the legal team and can discuss this if you are interested in progressing.
