Locum ASC Lawyer

Rate: £50-60 per hour DOE
Contract: 6 months with view to extend
DBS Requirement: Enhanced

A North West based council is seeking a dedicated Adult Social Care Solicitor to join their Legal Services team. As a key member of the legal team, you will advise on complex legal matters, support council members, and represent the Council in court and tribunals. You will also contribute to policy development and ensure compliance with evolving legal standards in adult social care law.

️ Represent the Council in civil and criminal courts, tribunals, and inquiries.
️ Deliver legal briefings and training on childcare and adult social care law.
️ Attend and advise at key meetings, including the Adoption Panel.
️ Draft legal comments for reports and represent Legal Services at Cabinet meetings.

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with:
Recent experience in Adult Social Care within a Local Authority.
Strong advocacy and legal drafting skills.
Knowledge of Local Government Law and Social Care legislation.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
