We're hiring for a Logistics Coordinator for a leading company in the engineered solutions industry, known for its innovative products in a variety of industrial applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shipping goods to clients, maintaining relationships with clients and shippers, and managing remote stock and warehousing. This role is pivotal in ensuring cost efficiency, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high-quality logistics services.

What you'll do:

As a Logistics Coordinator, your primary role will be to ensure the smooth operation of all logistics related activities. You will be responsible for coordinating the shipping of goods to clients, negotiating prices for shipping services, overseeing remote stock management, receiving incoming goods, fulfilling orders, counting stock regularly, managing logistics costs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the quality of logistics services. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in managing inventory and shipping details. Your strong analytical skills will be put to use in optimizing logistics processes.

• Coordinate the shipping of goods to clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Negotiate prices for shipping services to optimize costs.
• Oversee remote stock, ensuring accurate allocation and inventory management.
• Receive incoming goods and allocate them to stock.
• Pick parts from stock for projects and prepare them for shipping.
• Regularly count stock to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Monitor and manage logistics costs, finding ways to reduce expenses through contract renegotiation, route optimization, and improved inventory turnover.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international logistics and transportation regulations.
• Maintain the quality of logistics services, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of goods.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Logistics Coordinator position brings a unique set of skills that includes effective negotiation abilities, strong budgeting skills, problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role. Experience in logistics, shipping or supply chain management is preferred but not mandatory. Your ability to work well within a team environment will be highly valued as you interact with various stakeholders including project managers and peers.
