Description: Logistics Project Manager

Location: Goole - Expected fulltime onsite presence

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage a re-organisation and optimisation of how we deliver material to our production line and store it accordingly.
  • Work with different functions in the business both in the UK and abroad to ensure efficient operations, collaborating with colleagues in other factories across the Company's network.
  • Utilize logistics/warehouse experience, ideally in setting up new warehouse operations, and demonstrate project management skills to run projects independently while supporting the existing management team.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor material management/logistics activities in projects to ensure economical supply to customers tailored to their needs.
  • Develop and continuously update project-specific customer supply chain concepts according to stated requirements and cost accounting principles.
  • Create and coordinate supply chain-specific requests with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Purchasing, Construction, and Project Management.
  • Act as a Project Core Team member, contribute to and analyze project change decisions, and implement measures to adapt supply chain processes.
  • Analyze potential supplier base for project-related logistic services, complete necessary supplier audits, and propose supplier-of-choice to Project Management.
  • Plan and complete tenders/bids for logistics services (i.e., loading and transportation, packaging, inventory), clarify, analyze, and evaluate services and costs offered, and provide recommendations to Project Management.
  • Develop, calculate, and implement logistic contingency measures.
  • Prepare and support awarding meetings with suppliers and service providers, and coordinate and report on the implementation of agreed measures and processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of construction site logistics (i.e., establishment and repatriation of logistical infrastructure and equipment, engagement of external service providers, monitoring and controlling logistic services).
  • Prepare and support the cost accounting of supply chain costs in the projects, providing respective reporting to Project Controlling and Project Management.
