Job Description

Position: M&A Analyst / Junior Associate

Location: Brussels (Hybrid)

Sector: Investment Banking / Corporate Finance

Languages: English + Dutch or French (fluency in one is a MUST)

A leading advisory platform with an established presence across the Benelux region is looking to appoint a highly driven Analyst or Junior Associate to join its M&A team in Brussels (Hybrid model). The team operates at the heart of cross-border mid-market M&A, advising a diverse client base that includes corporates, private equity funds, family offices, and entrepreneurs. With a strong pipeline of active mandates, the platform offers broad sector exposure, hands-on involvement in live transactions, and direct access to senior dealmakers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including preparation of marketing materials, buyer/seller engagement, valuation work, and transaction process management
  • Support deal origination by preparing sector and company analyses, identifying potential targets or investors, and developing pitch materials
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models and perform valuation analyses using DCF, trading and transaction comparables, and LBO methodologies
  • Collaborate closely with senior team members and external advisors across legal, tax, accounting, and commercial workstreams to ensure seamless deal execution
  • Conduct detailed industry research and monitor market developments to support strategic thinking and identify new business opportunities

Candidate Profile:

  • 1-3 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or a related corporate finance setting, ideally gained within a reputable advisory firm or financial institution
  • Demonstrated experience in executing or supporting complex, cross-border M&A transactions
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with a rigorous attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality deliverables under tight timelines
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to interact with internal stakeholders, clients, and counterparties in an international setting
  • Fluent in English and either Dutch or French; fluency in both is strongly preferred given the regional scope of the role
  • Strong commercial mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning and professional development
  • Prior experience in the Belgian market or a clear motivation to relocate or return to Brussels

This is a compelling opportunity to join a meritocratic, entrepreneurial platform with strong leadership, a collaborative culture, and tangible career progression. The role is ideally suited for individuals looking to accelerate their development through active involvement in high-impact M&A transactions across Europe.
