Management Accountant

Quadient is looking for a detail-oriented Management Accountant to support the finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity of month-end processes, revenue recognition, and financial analysis for our SaaS and mailing product businesses.

This position is offered on a hybrid basis at our Stratford, London office (2 days/week in office, 3 days working from home).

Your role in our future

1. Prepare and post revenue and cost of sales recognition journals for both SaaS and mailing product businesses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
2. Post and reconcile payroll journals in accordance with Cost Centre structure.
3. Prepare and post accruals and prepayments to ensure expenses are correctly allocated.
4. Prepare and calculate amortisation/depreciation and maintain fixed asset register.
5. Calculate intercompany recharges, perform reconciliations, investigating and resolving differences with counterparties.
6. Calculate commissions for sales representatives and liaise with revenue operations and payroll.
7. Conduct variance analysis on revenue, costs and overheads, providing insightful commentary to management.
8. Prepare management accounts, including profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations.
9. Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly.
10. Support the audit process, providing documentation and explanations as required.
11. Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal accounting policies.
12. Ensure timely filing of VAT return and assist with other tax filing.
13. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
14. Work closely with FP&A and business teams to understand financial drivers.
15. Provide insights on revenue trends, cost efficiencies, and profitability.
16. Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes.
17. Support ad hoc financial projects and analysis.

Your profile

1. Qualified accountant (CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). The ideal candidate will have experience working in an accounting role within industry.
2. Experience in revenue recognition for SaaS businesses (ASC 606 / IFRS 15 preferred).
3. Strong IT skills, SAP experience would be helpful. Also, Microsoft Office with a particularly strong ability in Excel.
4. Experience in Hyperion Reporting is a plus.
5. Attention to detail, strong analytical, problem solving and reconciliation skills.
