Job Description Summary

Within Group Sustainable Business, a new Solutions and Innovation team has been established with the purpose of working with Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) business units and external partners. It aims to accelerate and scale further innovative initiatives that achieve an environmental or social impact as well as delivering commercial returns.

The manager in our Solutions and Innovation team plays a pivotal role in realizing these ambitions! This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of pioneering and high-profile initiatives.

You will help manage activity across LBG, and with external partners, related to the strategic design, development, testing, and mobilizing of innovative solutions aligned to our environmental and societal ambitions.

As Manager, Solutions and Innovation, you'll be:
  • Managing the day-to-day actions and plans required in the mobilization of large scale signature projects and activities.
  • Conducting high-quality research, gathering market insights, and producing market analyses to support the evaluation of new innovative solutions and business opportunities.
  • Building the commercial case for key projects, including working with partners to build a strong commercial narrative and quantitative approach to support the necessary approval processes.
  • Writing and communicating executive-level reports of options, findings, and progress to keep stakeholders informed and to enable relevant decisions.
  • Supporting engagement across the Group and with external partners on social and environmental projects.
  • Keeping up to date with insights, innovation, and technical advancements - both environmental and social.

Individuals in this position have the chance to grow significantly, taking on more responsibilities and stepping into a leadership role in key projects.

What you'll need:

We're looking for a highly organized and driven individual that has the ability to work with multiple partners to input, shape, and help mobilize solutions at pace that are focused on impact and tangible repeatable results that demonstrate positive returns. Is this you? If so, we want to hear from you!

We're looking for someone who brings:
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, identifying risks, and achieving tight deadlines.
  • Excellent appreciation of commercial and economic priorities and what matters most to LBG and business strategies.
  • Experience of working with financial or economic issues in the UK or internationally. Familiarity with finance and banking in areas such as debt and structured commercial finance, novel financial instruments, and consumer finance will be advantageous but not essential.
  • Effective stakeholder management and partnering skills in complex environments, with the ability to build an extensive network of expert contributors and the credibility to represent the business externally.
  • Evidence of supporting the development of new concepts that deliver increased value and meet client and customer needs.
  • An understanding of evolving external trends and the ability to translate those into workable solutions.
  • A track record of being proactive and resilient, able to deliver results in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
  • A demonstrable personal commitment to creating positive economic, social, and environmental impact.
About working for us:

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organization that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity, or culture.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%.
  • An annual performance-related bonus.
  • Share schemes including free shares.
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping.
  • 30 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top.
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies.

If you're excited about joining the team, get in touch. We'd love to hear from you!
