The Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) practice is built on deep functional expertise that addresses the most complex business problems and delivers dramatic and sustainable business performance improvements. CTS leads CEOs and Boards through the planning and execution of large, complex operational restructuring and business transformation initiatives. We provide an objective perspective of a company's performance and accelerate lasting bottom-line results. The Commercial Transformation team brings experience from both operational and advisory roles. The team of senior professionals have not just capabilities as consultants but in most cases also a track record as an operating executive at a senior level in the corporate world. They relish the opportunity to work in a "hands-on" style with senior client management, and with the entrepreneurial freedom and opportunities which are at the heart of A&M's culture. The team focuses on commercial performance improvement including customer profitability, salesforce effectiveness, channel management, marketing and pricing.

An opportunity exists for a sales effectiveness expert (m/f/d) at Senior Director or Managing Director level, with deep knowledge and insight, a broad and varied blend of operational and commercial skills and a strong network of high-level contacts across UK and Europe. You will be experienced in delivering sales strategy and B2B solutions that address businesses critical issues either in an advisory capacity or taking the reins in an interim C-Suite role. You will operate on a pan-European level and, leveraging A&M's brand and expertise, help shape and build a differentiated and best in class consulting services. The successful candidate (m/f/d) will:

  • Support the development of the Commercial Transformation team across Europe by engaging with prospective clients and developing enduring senior level client relationships.
  • Build the A&M brand and profile by successfully winning and delivering client assignments and managing project teams to exceed client expectations.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and the development of the practice by raising the profile and our reputation with clients and internally across other teams.
  • Be an influential leader on commercial excellence topics such as sales operations, pricing, B2B and marketing.
  • Provide a significant contribution to practice building activities such as recruiting and training junior team members.
  • Identify and manage key commercial excellence partnerships.

Desired Skills and Experience

You will be accomplished in commercial operations, Salesforce Effectiveness and top line revenue growth. You will have:

  • 10+ years' experience with the above outlined blend of corporate line management in a blue chip environment and advisory in a major advisory firm delivering business transformation and performance improvement.
  • Experience and consequently a robust network across the UK and Europe in Industrials, Pharmaceuticals or other B2B sectors.
  • A track record in supporting and driving the relationship and sales management process.
  • A breadth of experience across B2B commercial excellence activities including route to market optimization, CRM and salesforce coverage (field and inside sales), indirect channel management, account management, pricing, incentive planning and lead generation.
  • Evidence of creating the right model to link and scale commercial excellence to key functional areas such as IT, Manufacturing, Marketing, etc.
  • Analytical rigour and financial experience.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and unpredictable environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
