Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week) with some overtime required
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 plus overtime and Flexible Benefits
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team for a prestigious new-build commercial and retail site near Liverpool Street, London. As part of the mobilisation team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional building services (planned and reactive) to ensure the highest standards of service delivery within a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for Mechanical equipment according to agreed programmes and SLAs to meet client and statutory compliance.
- Operate and maintain water treatment equipment, condensing systems, and cooling towers, ensuring compliance systems are fully updated through routine testing and analysis.
- Diagnose faults and rectify issues related to HVAC mechanical services, providing technical support as needed.
- Cost and complete Reactive Works identified through PPM activities as required.
- Carry out mechanical maintenance and installations following National Working Rules for the Mechanical Contracting Industry.
- Provide 24/7 service support as part of a team, including participation in the out-of-hours emergency call-out team.
- Complete all necessary documentation, job sheets, and certificates accurately and on time.
- Work independently and supervise Reactive Works carried out by others when required.
- Completed a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship (Preferred but not essential).
- City & Guilds Qualification in Heating and Ventilation or Plumbing.
- L8 Training and Experience (Standard Water Systems & Evaporative Cooling Tower Systems).
- Minimum of Level 3 Mechanical or Plumbing City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or 'A' and 'B'.
- BMS experience and Multi-skilling capability and/or HVAC certifications or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience working with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing-related Building Services PPMs following SFG20 standards and completing resulting Reactive Works.
