Mental Health Pharmacist Teacher Practitioner

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team and support our inpatient clinical pharmacy services and the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham.
The post will be partly based at the Adult Mental Health inpatient wards (multiple locations), Mental Health Services for Older People (multiple locations), Specialist Services including Perinatal and Child and Adolescent Mental Health inpatient services. (Precise site to be determined).
The role will be partly based at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham and will involve working with the pharmacy team there to support the delivery and development of the pharmacy undergraduate programme.
Main duties of the jobTo deliver, in conjunction with the Lead Pharmacist or Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager and Heads of Pharmacy, a clinical pharmacy service.
To contribute to, and provide multidisciplinary training in Pharmacy / Medicines Management matters across the Trust.
In conjunction with the Heads of Pharmacy, contribute to the development, maintenance and monitoring of a high quality, cost effective clinical pharmacy service to the Trust, and contribute to the development of the local pharmacy and medicines management strategy.
To work with the Course Director to support the delivery and development of the pharmacy undergraduate programme.

Person Specification Qualifications- MSc in Pharmacy
- Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Diploma (or MSc) in a Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Topic, or currently studying the second year of this
- Current membership of College of Mental Health Pharmacy
- Certificate or Diploma in Psychiatric Pharmacy
- Clinical knowledge from aspects of career to date
- Post-qualification and registration experience
- Clinical Pharmacy knowledge associated with a Pharmacy degree course and vocational experience
- Awareness of NHS changes and understanding of pharmacy issues within the NHS
- Experience of working within the Mental Health field
- Teaching experience
- Evidence based medicine practice
- Experience of extended role
- Experience of teaching pharmaceutical knowledge to other pharmacy staff
- Organisational / time management skills
- Tested problem solving and decision making skills
- Training/mentoring of staff
- Ability to work as a team player
- Adaptable and flexible
- Work well under pressure and prioritise effectively
