Microsoft Defender XDR Specialist

Job Title: Microsoft Defender XDR Specialist (Remote Contract)

Contract Duration: 6 months

Day Rate: Up to €850 EURO p/d

Location: Remote within Europe

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Defender XDR Specialist for a 6-month remote contract to support the deployment and management of Defender XDR across multiple countries. The successful candidate will play a key role in transitioning local security solutions to Microsoft Defender, working closely with cyber and data protection teams worldwide.

Principal Duties:

• Lead the deployment of Defender XDR and coordinate the decommissioning of existing local EDR/AV solutions with cyber and data protection teams.
• Define Intune configuration and oversee its rollout, working in collaboration with M365 teams and cyber security stakeholders.
• Develop and implement a rollout plan for countries utilizing their current EDR/AV solution for encryption.
• Provide technical support for Defender for Endpoint, Intune, and BitLocker.

Secondary Duties:

• Support projects related to M365 security applications handled by the cyber and data protection team.
• Share expertise on M365 security solutions with team members.
• Manage incidents and requests related to M365 security applications.
• Actively participate in team discussions and initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Expert knowledge of Defender for Endpoint and Intune (Mandatory)
• Strong experience with BitLocker (Mandatory)
• Comprehensive knowledge of antivirus and EDR solutions (Mandatory)
• Knowledge of Defender for Cloud Apps (Preferred)
• Familiarity with other M365 security applications (Advantageous)
• Fluent English proficiency (spoken, written, and reading) (Mandatory)
• Ability to work effectively in project environments (Mandatory)
• Experience collaborating with global IT teams remotely (Mandatory)
