Position Summary: The National Key Account Manager - Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart is responsible for delivering both sales and profitability objectives established for their customer. Success is to be obtained through the development and execution of an annual business plan that leverages market and channel/customer insights, as well as our own corporate objectives. Proactive and engaged, the incumbent will have to collaborate with both internal and external departments, to ensure that the optimal supportive tactics are being deployed at all times.

PRIORITY:
  • Sales Growth: Achieving and exceeding sales targets by developing and executing strategic account plans.
  • Account Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with the assigned customers.
  • Market Expansion: Identifying new business opportunities and strategies to expand market share.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with product development, supply chain, finance, and other teams to ensure alignment and support for account initiatives.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions and recommendations.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiating contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements with the assigned customers.
  • Competitor Monitoring: Keeping an eye on competitor activities and industry developments to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service and support to the assigned customers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Manage and grow relationships with the Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart Category, Merchant, Product Development, and Replenishment Teams.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, supply chain, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for account initiatives.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements with the assigned customers.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to the customer requirements.
REQUIRED SKILL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or Post-Secondary Business Diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development within the CPG industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency of MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; interacts well with multiple departments as required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and priority setting.
  • Goal and Results oriented.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid Ontario driver's licence.
