About therole
The Grange Therapeutic School arelooking for an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapistto join our expanding team. In the role you would be expected toimplement a holistic, therapeutic and dynamic approach to helpingour pupils in their daily lives - ensuring they are safe,comfortable and their occupational and sensory needs supportedthroughout their day. Undertaking all aspects of OccupationalTherapy clinical duties, you would be expected to carry outstandardised and non-standardised assessments, bespokeinterventions, and prepare relevant documentation - includingwriting reports and sensory profiles. In addition, you will provideinformation and training to staff, commissioners and otheragencies as required.
You would be workingwithin our well-established and supportive multi-disciplinarytherapy team to help create an environment where our pupils canflourish, learn and develop. The team includes Psychology, Speechand Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and therapyassistants. Someone with a rounded and integrated approach tocare, education and clinical services would be perfect for thisrole.

Essential Criteria:
Occupational Therapy BSc(Hons)
Registered with theHCPC
Experience of workingwith adults and/or children who have an intellectualdisability and/or autism with additional needs (e.g. complextrauma, mental health needs, behaviours ofconcern)
Ability to workcollaboratively with a range of key partners
Able to work sensitively with people and resolveconflict effectively
Evidence of continuing professional developmentrelevant to the setting
Substantial and relevant post-qualificationexperience with children and young people.
Experience oflecturing/teaching/training
Skills in the management of data are alsoimportant as the role includes collecting and analysing data toinform various pieces of service delivery, development and projectwork.
Experience of workingwith or qualification in sensory integration.
Experience of supervision and training ofstaff.
Full UK DrivingLicence and access to own vehicle required
