A bit about the role

Working in a team with Sarah Parker, Senior Manager Business Development, and the wider Programme Management Team, the Business Support Officer will play a key role in assisting with information management requests, supporting senior leaders, and coordinating corporate activities (such as business planning).

You will be joining a friendly and experienced team, committed to making positive change in delivering the Agency and Government's multi-billion-pound Affordable Homes Programme.

This is an exciting and varied role, requiring collaboration and flexibility. The role will liaise with team members to gather information and coordinate responses across various commissions for internal and external stakeholders. You will also support and organise information management for senior leaders in Affordable Housing, act as a key point of contact for other parts of the Agency, and work with the team to support the Annual Business Planning process.

You will be working closely with all the Affordable Housing sub-teams based across the country. We value strong collaboration, diversity in experience and perspective, with the aim to foster good decision making and problem solving within the team.

A bit about you

The right candidate will be well organised and able to work flexibly across a range of priorities, completing tasks at pace and within set deadlines.

You'll work well in a team and with others in a collaborative and inclusive way and be comfortable in supporting multi-functional teams and projects end-to-end.

You will also have good stakeholder management skills and the ability to condense information into high-quality documents and briefings, with excellent attention to detail.

Who are we?

Homes England: The Housing and Regeneration Agency. We believe that affordable, quality homes in well-designed places are key to improving people's lives. As the government's housing and regeneration agency, we create thriving new places and transform urban areas, combining the full breadth of our powers, expertise, land, capital, and influence to bring investment to communities and get more homes built.

We form long-term partnerships that bridge the gap between the public and private sector to meet local needs and aspirations. We use our influence to champion the creation of sustainable homes, communities, and places that are brilliantly designed for the people that live there now and in the future. We use our funding and support to build a more resilient, diverse, and innovative housing sector, helping new entrants in the market, encouraging modern methods of construction and design, and promoting the utmost attention to building safety.

Together with our partners, we're accelerating the pace of house building, remediation, and regeneration across the country, as we seek to deliver ever more affordable homes in places people are proud to call home for generations to come.
