As an Onboarding Events Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the first impressions and experiences of new hires, setting them up for success and fostering a sense of belonging from day one. Your expertise in event planning and execution will be essential in creating engaging and informative onboarding programs that seamlessly integrate new talent into the company's unique culture.
This is a 12 months, fully on-site contract, offering £74,000 per annum, pro rata (PAYE).
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading global organization as an Onboarding Events Manager. You will be responsible for leading and managing all day-to-day operations for onboarding orientation and other onboarding programs. You'll collaborate closely with the People Development team, HR partners, and vendors to ensure a smooth and impactful onboarding experience for all new hires. Your ability to analyze program effectiveness and recommend improvements will be key to optimizing the onboarding process and contributing to the company's overall success.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage daily operations for onboarding orientation and other onboarding programs, whether in-office or remote.
- Oversee onboarding coordinators and their execution of onboarding programs.
- Partner with the People Development Onboarding team, HR, and vendors to implement operational strategies and annual plans.
- Manage and escalate risks and issues, collaborating with cross-functional partners to find solutions.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for onboarding programs globally, ensuring consistency across different regions.
- Analyze program data, present actionable insights, and recommend program improvements.
- Conduct cost/benefit analyses of potential operational enhancements.
- Provide support to other regions as needed, which may require flexible working hours.
- Manage incoming communications and inquiries from new hires and interns.
- Provide backup support and manage escalations for onboarding orientation.
- Project manage additional projects that support onboarding program growth.
- Experience in Learning & Development, HR Operations, Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Proven project management and process improvement experience.
- Experience leading a small team.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working effectively in a matrixed, dynamic, and multinational environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Data analysis experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) certification
- Experience with Salesforce, Workday, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
