Job Title: Operations Team Leader
Salary: £25,300-£31,800 FTE (£10,843-£12,720)
Location: Cambridge, Hybrid (Weekly attendance in Cambridge required)
Contract: 14 hours per week, part time (Thurs & Fri), 6-month fixed term
FTC is linked to a flexible working trial. Contract could become permanent if the trial is successful.

An exciting opportunity is available for a fixed term Team Leader role in Cambridge International Operations within AS&M. We are looking for colleagues with experience in delivering processes and bringing out the best in the people around them. As an AS&M Team Leader, you will be responsible for the delivery of operational processes to agreed schedules, assure quality & standards, and propose and implement process improvements, helping us make a difference for every learner.
About the roleYou'll be responsible for managing teams to carry out tasks as directed, supporting the delivery of Cambridge International Examinations' assessments, taking on additional supervision responsibilities as required, and proposing and delivering operational process improvements.
Business change is part of the routine and to help us continually improve, you will assist in the design and delivery of improvement projects and participate in their implementation. You will contribute to each post exam series review, record and share lessons learned and implement procedural changes, providing an end-to-end view of the impacts of such changes to colleagues and senior managers.
Key Accountabilities- Develop an in-depth knowledge of processes in the AS&M and carry them out to agreed quality standards and schedules, achieving the overarching goal of providing the Right Grade, First Time, On Time, Every Time.
- Supervise permanent and temporary staff, allocating tasks, monitoring workloads, and staff wellbeing.
- Assist the AS&M Coordinator in scheduling and conducting resource management reviews to ensure tasks can be completed effectively.
- Assist in the design and delivery of improvement projects and business change ideas.
- Contribute to each post-exam series review, identifying lessons learned and implementing procedural changes where required, including updating associated ISO9001 procedure documents.
Your skills as a people manager are key as you will supervise your team in delivering business processes, while proactively monitoring their performance standards, engaging and facilitating their professional development and safeguarding the team's general wellbeing.
You will be someone who can critically review processes, have a strong financial and commercial awareness as well as excellent prioritisation, time management and communication skills.
Overall, you will commit to the AS&M team's ethos of leading by example, encouraging trust and open lines of communication to create a positive environment for both colleagues and customers.
