Job Description

Job Title: Paediatric Research Nurse

Type: Part-Time, Contract (24 months)

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Summary

Planet Pharma are paired with a global home clinical trials company who are looking to expand their team in Northern Ireland. They are currently seeking a Paediatric Research Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

  • To conduct Medical Assessment/observations on patients who are who apart of specific clinical trials.
  • Making sure patients are comfortable and receiving the best care possible while on a clinical study

The Role & The Study

  • Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy study, rescue study taken on by client.
  • Projected 1x 5-hour visit plus travel time every week for 2 years - will also invoice for study training time.

Clinical Skills

  • Venepuncture
  • IVs, injections and blood draws
  • Centrifuge
  • ECG
  • Cannulation
  • Injection Administration

Qualifications

  • Qualified Nurse / Registered with NMC
  • Experience working with paediatric patients (0-16 years of age)
  • GCP certificate / Clinical Research experience (preferred)

Requirements

  • Some availability Monday-Friday during the day
  • On the DBS update service
  • Up-to-date CPR
  • Own a car and happy to drive
