Product Assurance/Quality Assurance (PA/QA Engineer)

Our Client is looking for a Product Assurance/Quality Assurance (PA/QA) Engineer to join their team.

They are a UK-based Electric Propulsion company with many years of experience in the design, development and production of cutting-edge electric propulsion systems for a diverse range of applications. Projects range from early R&D to high levels of maturity flight systems and cover a range of technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain PA/QA processes in alignment with ECSS and ESA standards and internal company processes and protocols
  • Support reviews such as Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs)
  • Conduct inspections, testing and verification at component, subsystem and system levels
  • Monitor manufacturing, assembly and integration processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Prepare and maintain Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Risk Logs and relevant technical documentation
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing and systems engineering teams to address quality issues
  • Participate in supplier and subcontractor audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in PA/QA roles within the space industry, preferably in flight hardware
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards and experience working on ESA or commercial space programmes
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, root cause analysis and risk management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • This role requires occasional travel to customer or test sites and candidates must hold a valid driver's license and passport

Location

This is a full-time position in the UK.

Applicants must hold all appropriate documentation and permits to work in the UK. The company will sponsor eligible candidates for the UK VISA process.
