The Opportunity

(Maternity Cover Contract - 12 months)

As Brand Manager you will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and UK cross-functional teams to deliver successes for your brands, focussing on wholesale partners but supporting across both Wholesale and Retail to bring marketing campaigns to life from ideation to implementation. You will also have regular contact with retailers, influencing and supporting across all levels both internally and externally.

What you'll get to do

• Build effective working relationships with the Global Brand teams for Penhaligon's to be able to implement the global strategy into the UK Market.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders to effectively drive productivity and build brand love in your market.
• Support the Senior Marketing Manager convey the brand vision and work collaboratively with the UK cross functional teams and agency partners, for successful implementation of the UK marketing plans and strategic priorities.
• Support in maintaining and updating the marketing plans on an on-going basis, delivering to the annual in-store activations calendar. Regularly communicate brand plans to cross functional teams.
• Responsible for all day-to-day operational management of the brands.
• Support new product launches and strive to maintain growth on core products, in alignment with the overall strategy.
• Support launch of new initiatives, working collaboratively with the Global Retail and Brand teams.
• Support the Senior Marketing Manager on delivering retailers presentations.
• Bring a strong knowledge of the details of all brand dynamics, sales, objectives, KPIs and all marketing actions i.e. in-store events, sampling activities etc.
• Accurately track marketing spend across both Retail & Wholesale, in line with budget.
• Work closely with the Demand Planning and Commercial teams to ensure forecast accuracy and stock availability for promo items.
• Evaluate sales performance at both sell in and sell out level for NPD and new initiatives, working with the relevant departments on action plans.
• Work closely with commercial & VM teams to deliver tailored trade marketing and In-Store Animation plans based on the specific strategies and needs.
• Working collaboratively across departments to deliver effective and efficient in-store activations and initiatives briefs in line with Brand Strategy.
• Work closely with the PR & Communications team to develop a rounded marketing plan for retailers.
• Regular field visits to monitor activity out in store with a pro-active reporting: competition, launches, respect of merchandising guidelines, etc.

• Experience in Marketing within the retail industry.
• Proven digital experience and knowledge essential.
• Highly numerate, with ability to analyse figures to draw conclusions and strong business recommendations.
• Self-starter able to work autonomously, driving momentum on multiple projects and proactively planning ahead.
• Highly organised with prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Collaborative team player, with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• At ease dealing with complexity and ambiguity.
• Sensitivity to luxury and good attention to detail.
