Contract type: Permanent role

Location: Office Base is Cardiff. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Manager to join the BBC Pensions and Benefits Centre.

Your role will be to lead the administration team in the provision of first-class administration services to members and employees. You may have pensions experience but that is not essential as full pensions training will be provided.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead the overall delivery of the administration service to Scheme members, employees and other key stakeholders.
  2. Effectively lead two teams totalling c12 individuals to deliver an excellent pension administration service.
  3. Support the delivery of other BBC pension arrangements and life assurance arrangements.
  4. Be responsible for delivering cyclical and ad-hoc administration projects.
  5. Prepare reports for the pension executive team, BBC and Trustee on administration service levels.
  6. Respond to any complaints raised under the first stage of the Scheme's Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure.
  7. Identify and manage the administration team's response to changes in priorities and ad-hoc projects.
  8. Monitor member experience, compliance, quality and the efficiency of the administration service.
  9. Improve member experience, compliance, quality and the efficiency of the administration service through improvements to administration processes and communications.
Are you the right candidate?
  1. Recent experience of leading a service team providing pension administration or similar administration services.
  2. Experience of developing administration strategy and policy for a large defined benefit pension scheme or similar organisation.
  3. Influencing and relationship management skills.
  4. Experience of measuring and driving administration performance improvement.
  5. Able to motivate, coach and develop others to achieve agreed standards and objectives.
